A voluntary part-time job during the last three years before the retirement, with an “heavier” payroll and the certainty of not wasting any euro of contributive payments. The solution proposed by Italian Labour Minister Giuliano Poletti for all the workers older than 63 years is the following: it will be possible to apply a reduction of the working hours through an agreement between employer and worker. Anyway, the employer will have to pay the overall net contribution for the worker. In case of a 50% reduction of the working hours, the worker’s salary shouldn’t go below 65% of the original full-time salary. A “part-time” ministerial decree will be presented shortly: it could be an effort for a generational turnover in the labour market.
