The Ministry of Labour by decree published in the Official Journal on last October 27th, No. 252, implementing the European Directive 67 of 2014 on the secondment of workers,

defined the new procedures and operating instructions for the completion of the new model “UNI_DISTACCO_UE”, whose entry into force is scheduled for December 26, 2016.

The obligation to carry out this communication in case of transnational secondment will apply to all foreign employers or belonging to EU countries which post their workers in Italy. The decree provides that the service provider (defined as: company established in an EU member country or in a third country which posts workers in Italy) will have to carry out the mandatory reporting at least 24 hours before the beginning of the secondment, while, any changes must be submitted within 5 days of the event. This requirement must be done through a special model “UNI_DISTACCO_UE” available on the website of the Ministry of Labour www.lavoro.gov.it.
