Occasional supplementary employment compatible with various social benefits
After the changes brought by articles 48-50 of DLgs. 81/2015 “Jobs Act”, in the supplementary employment legislation, Inps circulare note 170 (13/10/2015) has recently explained (Inps – circular note n.170/2015) that occasional supplementary employment services can be combined with other Government social-benefit treatments, such as: mobility schemes (indennità di mobilità), unemployment subsidies (naspi), redundancy funds (cassa integrazione).
Inps estabilishes that occasional supplementary employment is any professional perfomance that generates a payment not higher than € 3000 per calendar year, referred to the plurality of the awarding customers, or, a payment not higher than €2000 if there’s only one awarding customer, is compatible with redundancy funds (C.I.G). If the payment goes beyond such limit, and it sums up between €3000 and €7000, the accumulability among supplementary work and CIG is only partial. A notification to Inps it is necessary, in order not to lose the right to the treatment.
Supplementary employment services are fully accumulable and compatible with mobility schemes (indennità di mobilità), for an overall income limit of €3000 per calendar year. Eventual payments above €3000 and up to €7000, are only partially accumulable, according to the limits provided by article 9, c.9, L.223/91. The recipient is bound to send a notification to Inps.
Similarly, the Inps circular note above fixes up all the eventual limits and income thresholds in order to the allow the compatibility among supplementary work and unemployment subsidies (Naspi), but for eventual supplementary work payment between €3000 and €7000, the Naspi amount will be reduced up to 80%
